Book details and covers
- Open Library (openlibrary.org), a project of the Internet Archive: titles, authors, page counts, editions, ISBNs and cover pictures. Covers belong to their publishers and authors, and are shown as Open Library serves them.
- Google Books: used as a second source when it is enabled, for details Open Library does not have.
- Your own corrections and photos, kept on your phone.
On your phone
Reading text in photos and turning voice notes into text use the iPhone’s own on-device features (Apple Vision and speech recognition). Nothing is sent to a cloud service for that.
Sounds
The ambient reading sounds in the app are made for Endpapers.
